Additional Danish troops arrived in Greenland on Monday evening as US President Trump lays bare his desire to annex the semi-autonomous territory, photos released by the Danish military show. The Danish Defence Command posted three images on X showing soldiers, clad in green combat fatigues, disembarking from at least two planes.
Earlier today, a Danish military spokesperson told CNN there will be a “substantial increase” in the number of Danish troops in Greenland while confirming that soldiers were being deployed to the Arctic island this evening.
