Cuba blackouts deepen as US oil blockade pushes island to breaking point

Cuba is scrambling to restore power supplies after the third nationwide blackout this month plunged millions of people into darkness.
The country’s ageing energy grid is under growing strain because of a US-imposed oil blockade.
The blackouts have left many struggling to get basic supplies, including food and water.
