Russian President Vladimir Putin says he is open to using frozen Russian assets to help rebuild territories devastated by the war in Ukraine, if a ceasefire and peace agreement are reached. Speaking through comments analysed by foreign policy expert Pavel Felgenhauer, the proposal would involve assets currently frozen in the United States and Europe.
Felgenhauer says the move is politically strategic, aimed at aligning with US President Donald Trump while increasing tensions between Washington and European allies.
